LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Understand how training the Starter Kata routine across an entire team or workforce can create a shared skillset and mindset of active, adaptive problem-solving, the foundation of a successful continuous improvement culture.
- Learn the fundamentals of the Improvement Kata and gain hands-on experience with the Starter Kata through a simulated challenge that reinforces the components of the Kata methodology —Vision/Challenge, Current Condition, Target Condition, Obstacles, PCDAs, and Coaching.
- Engage with Kata Coaching through a demonstration of a daily Kata Coaching routine that uses the 5 Coaching Kata Questions to support Kata Learners and ensure the mindset and methodology become embedded in the team or organization through daily practice and team accountability.
