Michael has more than 45 years of experience in management, product development, manufacturing, and quality. His worldwide consulting experience includes work with major automotive OEM's and Tier I suppliers in North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as manufacturing firms in other major industries.

Michael is widely recognized for his expertise in product development systems & methods, including Failure Modes & Effects Analysis, Design Verification & Production Validation. He is the author of the book The Power of Deduction: Failure Modes & Effects Analysis for Design and co-author of the recently published Tech Leadership 4.0. 

Michael is the President & Owner of Livonia Technical Services Company, a training and consulting firm that he founded to assist product development and manufacturing companies that are committed to excellence in quality and leadership in total cost management.

Michael earned a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from Wayne State University and a BA in Scientific & Technical Communication from Michigan Technical University. He also holds an MBA from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
